With an unwavering love and passion for animals since a young age, Tasha serves as the director of Living Things. Her mission began with a heartfelt commitment to rescuing and rehoming animals while providing educational wildlife experiences for all ages as well as providing animals and animal welfare consultancy for tv, film and the media industry.

Under Tasha’s leadership, Living Things has evolved into a dynamic organization, undertaking diverse projects that span educational initiatives, private parties, corporate events, and collaborations with radio, TV, film, and media productions. Tasha’s expertise as an animal welfare consultant and advisor has been sought after by renowned broadcasting channels such as ITV, BBC, and Channel 4, where she has proudly contributed to countless productions on some of the UK’s biggest shows.

Driven by a deep dedication to conservation, Tasha has also played a vital role in various projects across Uganda, Kenya, and Sri Lanka. Working closely with local communities, she has successfully facilitated peaceful coexistence between humans and conflict animals. Additionally, Tasha has imparted invaluable knowledge to wildlife rangers, with assisting and equipping them with unique safety techniques for safe animal captures.

Tasha’s unwavering commitment to animal welfare, combined with her extensive experience in the industry, has shaped Living Things into an organization that excels in its mission to protect and educate. JAMIE

Meet Jamie, the dedicated manager at Living Things. With a passion for both animals and people, Jamie seamlessly orchestrates wildlife experiences, ensuring the well-being of our creatures.

Navigating the dynamic world of television, Jamie has contributed expertise to shows like “Rise and Fall.” Whether behind the scenes orchestrating production details or collaborating with the creative team, Jamie’s versatility shines in the fast-paced realm of TV, making valuable contributions to the success of each project. From overseeing maintenance to leading the team and handling administrative tasks, Jamie is the heart of our operation—a cherished and versatile team member loved by all.

 

ELLIE W

Introducing Ellie W, an invaluable member of the Living Things family!

Since joining us in 2021, Ellie has made an indelible impact on our team. Her dedication and contributions have been exceptional, even in a relatively short span of time. Ellie’s expertise extends beyond the confines of our headquarters, as she has played an integral role in various esteemed TV shows such as “I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here,” “Britain’s Got Talent,” “Saturday Night Takeaway,” “Celebrity Juice,” and “The Emily Attack Show.” Her involvement in these productions showcases her versatility and adaptability in the media industry.

When Ellie is not lending her talent to media projects, she can be found at our Living Things HQ, located at The Burrows. In her senior administrative role, she efficiently manages the office operations and assists clients with their bookings, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience. Additionally, Ellie takes great care of our diverse menagerie of animals, attentively attending to their daily needs. Her exceptional animal handling skills make her an invaluable asset in providing memorable petting experiences for our esteemed clients.

Madie is a passionate wildlife presenter, petting experience handler, and animal welfare carer at Living Things.

Madie’s wildlife shows are truly one-of-a-kind and not to be missed. She has a unique talent for captivating her audience, whether it’s with her sugar gliders gracefully gliding from guests back to her, or her. meerkats standing proudly on volunteers’ shoulders. Her shows consistently deliver the wow factor, creating unforgettable experiences at every event.

Beyond her skills with animals, Madie has a natural rappor with children, making her a favourite at family-friendly events. Her background in working at pet shops and zoos has not only honed her expertise and knowledge but has also shaped her into the outstanding wildlife presenter she is today.

SUMER

Introducing Sumer, one of our extraordinary wildlife presenters and animal welfare maintenance and carers at Living Things!

With a trained background in performing arts, she brings charisma, personality, and a unique touch to every wildlife experience she delivers. Her ability to captivate audiences sets her shows apart, making them truly unforgettable.

Sumer’s expertise extends to providing educational wildlife experiences for various corporate events, including “bring your kids to work” days and corporate Christmas parties. Her engaging workshops for nurseries and schools leave a lasting impact, inspiring young minds with a love for nature and wildlife. In addition to her role as a wildlife presenter, Sumer shines as an animal handler for TV productions. She has proudly assisted on the famous daytime production, Lorraine, contributing to the success of the show with her expertise and love for animals.

When Sumer is not immersed in providing captivating wildlife experiences, she dedicates her time to being an animal welfare and maintenance assistant. Freddie

Freddie is an invaluable member of our team, serving as an Animal Welfare Assistant, Animal Driver, and Petting Experience Handler. With a deep-rooted passion for animals, Freddie dedicates every day to ensuring the well-being and happiness of the creatures in our care.

Freddie is fascinated by the diverse and quirky behaviours of animals and her enthusiasm is not just about caring for animals but also about sharing that joy with others.

As a Petting Experience Handler, Freddie  brings the magic of the animal world to people of all ages. Whether it’s introducing a child to their first gentle rabbit or helping someone overcome their fear of reptiles with our tortoises, Freddie has a unique talent for making these encounters special and memorable. Freddie thrives on seeing the smiles that light up people’s faces when they interact with our animals, knowing that these moments can create lifelong love and respect for all creatures.

When Freddie isn’t engaging with visitors or ensuring the safe transport of our animals, you’ll often find her interacting with the animals, always looking for ways to enhance their care and comfort. Freddie’s commitment to animal welfare and education is evident in every aspect of their work, making them an essential part of our mission to connect people with animals in meaningful and enriching ways.

Nicki

Nicki is an essential part of our team, bringing energy and enthusiasm as both a Petting Experience Handler and Animal Driver. With a keen interest in animals and a natural ability to connect with people, Nicki plays a pivotal role in making our petting experiences truly memorable.

Passionate about animals, Nicki thrives on the opportunity to get hands-on during our petting experiences, ensuring that every guest has a unique and enriching experience. Whether it’s helping someone gently stroke a soft, cuddly rabbit or guiding them as they interact with one of our more exotic animals, Nicki’s warmth and expertise make each encounter special.

Nicki’s approach is all about creating lasting memories. With a talent for engaging with both animals and guests, Nicki ensures that each interaction is safe, fun, and educational. From the moment you arrive, Nicki is there to make sure your experience is one that you’ll cherish for a long time.

When not leading Petting Experiences, Nicki is also responsible for the safe and comfortable transportation of our animals, demonstrating a strong commitment to their well-being both on and off the road.

Harry

Harry is our youngest volunteer at Living Things, where he has been gaining invaluable experience in caring for our beloved animal family. From cleaning habitats to feeding and entertaining our diverse range of creatures, Harry’s dedication to animal welfare shines through in everything he does.

Living with sensory processing disorder and autism, Harry has found a unique way to regulate his sensory needs through his deep passion for animals. The soothing act of stroking animals with different textures—whether it’s the smooth scales of a snake, the soft fur of a rabbit, or the gentle feathers of a chick—provides Harry with a calming and grounding experience.

Since joining Living Things, Harry has made tremendous strides in his personal development. His work with the animals has significantly improved his communication and social skills, while also helping to reduce anxiety and boost his overall mood.

CAROLINE

Introducing Caroline, an esteemed member of the Living Things team for over a decade!

Caroline’s expertise lies in delivering the ultimate petting experience to our private and corporate clients and esteemed clientele. Her dedication and passion for creating memorable encounters with our animals have earned her a reputation as a go-to person for exceptional petting experiences.

In addition to her role as a experienced animal handler, Caroline also serves as an animal welfare consultant and on screen handler, lending her expertise to some of the UK’s most renowned TV shows such as Celebrity Big Brother and Britain’s Got Talent. Her commitment to ensuring the well-being and safety of our animals on these high-profile productions is commendable.

Caroline’s unwavering love for animals is evident in her eagerness to lend a helping hand during our busiest times of the year. Her presence brings a sense of reassurance and expertise to the team, ensuring our animals receive the utmost care and attention.

Mie’s profound love for animals ignited during her early years, leading her to embark on a remarkable journey in the field. Her passion first flourished at London Zoo, where she gained invaluable experience working at the educational center, delivering captivating wildlife encounters to schools and various educational institutions.

Building on her experience, Mie transitioned to Jumanji Pets, an esteemed establishment in London. Her exceptional skills and dedication soon caught the attention of Harrods, where she thrived as a livestock manager in the renowned Pet Kingdom.

Continuing her remarkable career, Mie joined Living Things, where she has been instrumental in providing enlightening wildlife experiences for local council events. Furthermore, her expertise as an animal handler has been showcased in prominent shows such as Celebrity Big Brother and I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here.

Mie’s unwavering commitment to fostering educational wildlife experiences and her vast experience in prestigious establishments make her an invaluable asset in the field. Her passion and expertise leave a lasting impression on all those fortunate enough to engage with her.
