Her mission began with a heartfelt commitment to rescuing and rehoming animals while providing educational wildlife experiences for all ages as well as providing animals and animal welfare consultancy for tv, film and the media industry.
Under Tasha’s leadership, Living Things has evolved into a dynamic organization, undertaking diverse projects that span educational initiatives, private parties, corporate events, and collaborations with radio, TV, film, and media productions. Tasha’s expertise as an animal welfare consultant and advisor has been sought after by renowned broadcasting channels such as ITV, BBC, and Channel 4, where she has proudly contributed to countless productions on some of the UK’s biggest shows.
Driven by a deep dedication to conservation, Tasha has also played a vital role in various projects across Uganda, Kenya, and Sri Lanka. Working closely with local communities, she has successfully facilitated peaceful coexistence between humans and conflict animals. Additionally, Tasha has imparted invaluable knowledge to wildlife rangers, with assisting and equipping them with unique safety techniques for safe animal captures.

Since joining us in 2021, Ellie has made an indelible impact on our team. Her dedication and contributions have been exceptional, even in a relatively short span of time. Ellie’s expertise extends beyond the confines of our headquarters, as she has played an integral role in various esteemed TV shows such as “I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here,” “Britain’s Got Talent,” “Saturday Night Takeaway,” “Celebrity Juice,” and “The Emily Attack Show.” Her involvement in these productions showcases her versatility and adaptability in the media industry.

Nicki is an essential part of our team, bringing energy and enthusiasm as both a Petting Experience Handler and Animal Driver. With a keen interest in animals and a natural ability to connect with people, Nicki plays a pivotal role in making our petting experiences truly memorable.
Passionate about animals, Nicki thrives on the opportunity to get hands-on during our petting experiences, ensuring that every guest has a unique and enriching experience. Whether it’s helping someone gently stroke a soft, cuddly rabbit or guiding them as they interact with one of our more exotic animals, Nicki’s warmth and expertise make each encounter special.
Nicki’s approach is all about creating lasting memories. With a talent for engaging with both animals and guests, Nicki ensures that each interaction is safe, fun, and educational. From the moment you arrive, Nicki is there to make sure your experience is one that you’ll cherish for a long time.
When not leading Petting Experiences, Nicki is also responsible for the safe and comfortable transportation of our animals, demonstrating a strong commitment to their well-being both on and off the road.
Harry is our youngest volunteer at Living Things, where he has been gaining invaluable experience in caring for our beloved animal family. From cleaning habitats to feeding and entertaining our diverse range of creatures, Harry’s dedication to animal welfare shines through in everything he does.
Living with sensory processing disorder and autism, Harry has found a unique way to regulate his sensory needs through his deep passion for animals. The soothing act of stroking animals with different textures—whether it’s the smooth scales of a snake, the soft fur of a rabbit, or the gentle feathers of a chick—provides Harry with a calming and grounding experience.
Since joining Living Things, Harry has made tremendous strides in his personal development. His work with the animals has significantly improved his communication and social skills, while also helping to reduce anxiety and boost his overall mood.
Amye’s journey with animals began long before her time at Writtle College and University, where she studied Animal Management. From a young age, she showed a natural compassion for animals starting with her first guinea pigs, whom she rehomed from her school. That early act of care sparked what would become a lifelong passion for animal welfare and education.
After joining Living Things, Amye quickly proved herself to be a dedicated and skilled member of the team. As an Animal Welfare Assistant, she plays a key role in the daily care and wellbeing of our animals from feeding, cleaning, and conducting health checks to maintaining detailed welfare reports. Her precision, empathy, and unwavering commitment help uphold Living Things high standards of animal care and husbandry.
Amye’s deep respect for all living creatures and her enthusiasm for education have seen her grow into one of our talented Animal Wildlife Presenters. Through patience and consistency, she has built strong, trusting bonds with the animals in her care, many of whom have been rescued or rehomed.
Today, Amye brings her passion to life by leading engaging wildlife presentations that inspire curiosity, kindness, and respect for nature. Her ability to connect people with animals in a genuine and educational way makes every encounter unique and memorable. Whether she’s introducing audiences to one of our incredible residents or sharing their stories, Amye’s warmth and authenticity shine through, helping others see the beauty and value in every creature big and small!
Max is one of our dedicated Animal Welfare Assistants here at Living Things. From feeding and cleaning to conducting health checks and preparing specialised diets, Max does it all to ensure our animals receive the highest standard of care and husbandry possible.
After studying Animal Management at Writtle College, Max gained valuable hands on experience by volunteering at several multi species animal centres. His dedication and skill quickly led him to a professional role with Living Things, where he continues to thrive.
Max has a particular passion for invertebrates and reptiles, and even keeps an impressive menagerie of his own at home. His knowledge, experience, and genuine love for animals make him an invaluable member of the Living Things team.
